September27, 2024
Dear Honorable City Council Member,
| strongly urge you hoapprove the Related Bristol project onOctober l.Aproject ofthis size
and magnitude will provide an unprecedented economic package that the city desperately
needs, and should beapproved.
VVocannot lose sight ofwhat isatstake. Related Bristol will generate lO,8V0nevvjobs$50O
million innew tax revenue during its first 30years and a$544million community benefits
package. As part of your civic duty to vote in the best interest of your constituents, it is
imperative to prioritize the needs of the overall community and notjeopardize the financial
feasibility of the project over additional union issues, components and other requirements.
Time is of the essence! Nearly l0Olocal businesses at Metro Town Square shopping center
need certainty about their future and business location. With leases for all tenants expiring
imminently and the very real prospect of a vacant retail center that is an important
generator of sales tax revenues to our City, we cannot delay this project any further, nor
jeopardize its feasibility,
Related Bristol isproposing new and improved community amenities that will enhance
and elevate the quality of life in this city, including:
° l3acres ofpublicly accessible and actively programmed open space,
° $22M towards aCommunity Benefit Fund that could beused towards street
improvements, a community center, or anything else the City prioritizes,
° Apublic safety office toshorten police response times, and
° $18M |naffordable housing in -lieu fees.
More than ever, people want safe, secure public places toconnect and build community
with family and friends, For these reasons, I support the visionary Related Bristol
project, and | urge you toapprove this important, new gateway to Santa Ana for the
benefit ofall.
Si
"Pea be ranco
Presid4nt & CEO
The Orange County Hispanic Chamber ofCommerce
9Mailing Address: www.ochcc.org 9 Office Address:
27/62 Antonio pkwvSuite Lz-4*s The Cove @uo
u,dcmRanch, cxgzos1 (714)e53'4289 uc|Beall Applied Innovation
sa7oCalifornia Avenue
Irvine, c4yzse,
