Finance and Management Services <br />www.santa-ana.org/finance <br />Item # 7 <br />City of Santa Ana <br />20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92701 <br /> Staff Report <br />December 3, 2024 <br />TOPIC: American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Project List Update <br />AGENDA TITLE <br />Receive and File the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Project Update <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />Receive and file the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) project update demonstrating <br />that the City has obligated the entire funding allocation by the deadline of December 31, <br />2024. <br />GOVERNMENT CODE §84308 APPLIES: No <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Revive Santa Ana spending plan is primarily funded by the City’s $128.4 million <br />allocation from the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), which represents one- <br />time funding. The deadline to obligate the remaining funds is December 31, 2024, with <br />final spending due by December 31, 2026. With approval of the park lighting and mobile <br />app items on this same agenda, the City has spent and/or obligated the entire $128.4 <br />million, as detailed in Exhibit 1. The City has fully funded each project listed in the <br />Exhibit, with some having multiple funding sources. This means projects have the <br />resources necessary for completion by the December 31, 2026 deadline. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There is no environmental impact associated with this action. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br />EXHIBIT(S) <br />1.
