Traffic Signal Modification Project <br />August 16, 2022 <br />Page 4 <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the recommended actions <br />are exempt from further review. Categorical Exemption Environmental Review No. ER- <br />2018-9 was filed for this project. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Approval of the requested appropriation adjustments will provide $715,728 in HSIP grant <br />funding for this project through the following transactions: <br />• Reappropriate $596,328 in Fiscal Year 2017-18 Highway Safety Improvement <br />Program grant funds into the Federal Aid Safety Program, Federal Grant -Indirect <br />revenue account (No. 14717002-52001), and appropriate the same amount into the <br />Public Services Street Safety Projects, Improvements Other Than Building <br />expenditure account (No. 14717002-66220). <br />• Recognize $119,400 in Fiscal Year 2022-23 Highway Safety Improvement Program <br />grant funds into the Federal Aid Safety Program, Federal Grant -Indirect revenue <br />account (No. 14717002-52001), and appropriate the same amount into the Public <br />Services Street Safety Projects, Improvements Other Than Building expenditure <br />account (No. 14717002-66220) <br />All funds will be available for expenditure in Fiscal Year 2022-23. However, any remaining <br />balances not expended at the end of the fiscal year will be carried forward into FY 2023- <br />24.
