However, the vehicles associated <br />with the proposed project would be required to comply with federal and state fuel efficiency standards. <br />Regarding the State's Renewable Energy Portfolio Standards, the project would be required to meet or exceed <br />the energy standards established in the California Green Building Standards Code, Title 24, Part 11 <br />(CALGreen). CALGreen Standards require that new buildings reduce water consumption, employ building <br />commissioning to increase building system efficiencies, divert construction waste from landfills, and install low <br />pollutant -emitting finish materials. <br />As shown in Section 4 above, the proposed project would be consistent with the applicable goals of the City <br />of Santa Ana CAP. <br />CONCLUSIONS <br />As supported by the preceding analyses, project construction and operations would not result in the <br />inefficient, wasteful or unnecessary consumption of energy. The proposed project does not include any <br />unusual project characteristics or construction processes that would require the use of equipment that would <br />be more energy intensive than is used for comparable activities and is a residential project that is not proposing <br />any additional features that would require a larger energy demand than other residential projects of similar <br />scale and configuration. The project land uses are consistent with the General Plan designations, and <br />therefore, the energy demands of the project are anticipated to be accommodated within the context of <br />available resources and energy delivery systems. The project would therefore not cause or result in the need <br />for additional energy producing or transmission facilities.
