Security Policies and Procedures <br />D. Infected devices <br />The ISO will use approved tools to monitor and remove malicious software from <br />Virtru's assets. Virus -infected computers, tablets or phones must be removed from the <br />network immediately until they are verified as virus -free. <br />E. Employees' Requirements <br />1. Workforce members will not load software on our Company's information <br />equipment without permission from the ISO. <br />2. Workforce members will not open electronic files from unfamiliar sources. <br />3. Will exercise best practices when using the Virtru network. The employee <br />will not: <br />a. Circumvent user authentication on any device <br />b. Sniff network traffic <br />c. Access data, servers, or accounts they are not authorized to access <br />d. Cause a disruption of servers <br />e. Violate copyright law by transmitting copyrighted pictures, music, <br />video and/or software <br />f. Export or import software, technical information, encryption <br />software, or technology in violation of international or regional <br />export control laws <br />g. Use the Internet or network in a manner that violates Virtru's <br />Security Policies, or local laws <br />h. Intentionally introducing malicious code; including, but not limited to, <br />viruses, worms, Trojan horses, e-mail bombs, spyware, adware, and <br />keyloggers <br />The workforce will be trained to know and carry out these malware protections. The <br />ISO will generally provide permissions as required above only for actions that are <br />intended for our Company's business and only under conditions that limit the <br />potential for the introduction of malware. <br />F. Enforcement <br />Any activities with the intention to create and/or distribute malicious programs into <br />Virtru's networks (e.g., viruses, worms, Trojan Horses, e-mail bombs, etc.) are <br />prohibited, and user will be subject to Virtru's Sanction Policy, and will be reported to <br />the proper state and federal authorities. <br />Rev.2015.8.6 <br />37 <br />
