Security Policies and Procedures <br />Protected and Confidential information is stored on removable media, it must be <br />encrypted in accordance with Virtru's Encryption Standards. <br />The workforce member shall take all reasonable and prudent measures to physically <br />secure all removable media or to portable devices. Users shall not open or attempt to <br />open the encasement of any removable media or portable devices nor otherwise <br />circumvent any lock system that secures the device or its components. Users should <br />take reasonable measures to secure device at all time and report any lost or stolen <br />removable media or portable devices immediately. <br />Workforce members may not copy information or other sensitive data onto personal <br />devices, unless approved by management in conjunction with the Confidentiality <br />Agreement for Employees. <br />F. Exceptions <br />Exceptions to this policy may be requested on a case -by -case basis by petition to the <br />ISO. <br />G. Refusal <br />Virtru reserves the right to refuse the ability to connect removable media devices to <br />the Company network if such media is being used in such a way that puts Virtru's <br />systems, data, users and customers at risk. <br />H. Enforcement <br />Anyone found to have violated this policy may be subject to disciplinary action, up to <br />and including suspension of access to technology resources or termination of <br />employment. A violation of this policy by a temporary worker, contractor or vendor <br />may result in action up to and including termination of their contract or assignment <br />with Virtru. <br />XXIX. Application Recovery Plan <br />A. Overview <br />Virtru backs up of all production data hourly and stores it remotely on two separate <br />Amazon Web Server (AWS) Accounts. These backups are a combination of both <br />differential and full backups. These backups are durable a the same rate as S3 data, <br />each snapshot is 99.99999% durable. <br />B. Scope <br />These policies apply to all production servers and data that Virtru is responsible for <br />maintaining on behalf of our clients. <br />Rev.2015.8.6 <br />58 <br />
