Architectural History Evaluation <br /> and intact versions of Minimal Traditional-style dwellings are located throughout Santa Ana and Orange <br /> County. <br /> (2) Works of notable architects, builders, or designers whose style influenced architectural development; <br /> As stated above in the NRHP/CRHR evaluation, the modest design of the residence suggests that it was <br /> not the work of a master architect or builder. <br /> (3) Rare buildings, structures, or objects or original designs; <br /> The residence represents a typical example of a Minimal Traditional-style house, which was a common <br /> housing type in California from 1935 to 1950. <br /> (4) Buildings, structures, objects or sites of historical significance which include places: <br /> a. Where important events occurred, <br /> As stated above in the NRHP/CRHR evaluation, the residence was not associated with events that have <br /> made a significant contribution to the broad patterns of history. <br /> b. Associated with famous people, original settlers, renowned organizations and businesses; <br /> As stated above in the NRHP/CRHR evaluation, archival research failed to indicate any associations with <br /> any significant persons and the property. <br /> C. Which were originally present when the city was founded, or <br /> The residence was not present when Santa Ana was founded. <br /> d. That served as important centers for political, social, economic, or cultural activity. <br /> The residence is a common single-family dwelling and was not an important center for political, social, <br /> economic, or cultural activity. <br /> (5) Sites of archaeological importance; <br /> The information potential for this residence is expressed in its built form and in the historical record. It has <br /> not yielded, nor is it likely to yield, information important in history or prehistory. <br /> (6) Buildings or structures that were connected with a business or use which was once common, but is <br /> now rare. <br /> The residence has a common residential use, which is not rare. <br /> 5.4 2501 Strawberry Lane <br /> The residence at 2501 Strawberry Lane consists of a one-story, single-family, Minimal Traditional-style <br /> house on a rectangular plan (Figure 4).A side-gabled roof with slightly overhanging eaves tops the <br /> residence.
