This Minimal Traditional- <br /> style dwelling is not a fully realized expression of the style, which may feature dormers, a chimney, and a <br /> recessed main entrance. More high-style and intact versions of Minimal Traditional-style dwellings are <br /> located throughout Santa Ana and Orange County.As a commonplace 1950s-era house, it does not <br /> embody the distinctive characteristics of a type, period, or method of construction, represent the work of <br /> a master, possess high artistic values, or represent a significant and distinguishable entity whose <br /> components may lack individual distinction.Therefore, it is not eligible for the NRHP/CRHR under <br /> Criterion C/3. <br /> NRHP/CRHR Criterion D14 <br /> The information potential for 2501 Strawberry Lane is expressed in its built form and in the historical <br /> record. It has not yielded, nor is it likely to yield, information important in history or prehistory.Therefore, <br /> it is not eligible for the NRHP/CRHR under Criterion D/4. <br /> Integrity <br /> The residence at 2501 Strawberry Lane possesses integrity of location because it has not been moved. The <br /> setting around the residence's 1950 housing tract has changed from mostly citrus groves in the 1950s to <br /> being surrounded by single-family suburban tract homes.Therefore, the change in surroundings has <br /> resulted in a lack of integrity of setting, feeling, and association.The addition of non-original rough- <br /> textured stucco, non-original columns, non-original entrance door, and non-original fenestration have <br /> resulted in a loss of integrity of design, materials, and workmanship. <br /> Regardless of integrity, due to lack of historical significance, 2501 Strawberry Lane does not meet NRHP <br /> or CRHR eligibility criteria as an individual resource or as part of any known or suspected historic district; <br /> the resource is not listed on any Certified Local Government historic property register. <br /> City of Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties <br /> (1) Buildings, structures or objects with distinguishing characteristics of on architectural style or period, <br /> that exemplify a particular architectural style or design features,- <br /> As stated above in the NRHP/CRHR evaluation, the residence at 2501 Strawberry Lane represents a typical <br /> example of a Minimal Traditional-style house, which was a common housing type in California from 1935 <br /> to 1950.
