There is no indication that current <br /> owners—Enrique and Marion Ramirez—or any other former owners are people of great historical significance. In <br /> addition, directory and newspaper research did not uncover other names associated with the residence at 2501 <br /> Huckleberry Road.As a result, archival research failed to indicate any associations with any significant persons. <br /> Therefore, it is not eligible for the NRHP/CRHR under Criterion B/2. <br /> NRHP/CRHR Criterion C/3 <br /> Built in 1950,the residence at 2502 Huckleberry Road represents a typical example of a Minimal Traditional-style <br /> house,which was a common housing type in California from 1935 to 1950. This Minimal Traditional-style dwelling is <br /> not a fully realized expression of the style, which may feature dormers, a chimney, corner windows, and a recessed <br /> main entrance. More high-style and intact versions of Minimal Traditional-style dwellings are located throughout <br /> Santa Ana and Orange County.As a commonplace 1950s-era house, it does not embody the distinctive <br /> characteristics of a type, period, or method of construction, represent the work of a master, possess high artistic <br /> values, or represent a significant and distinguishable entity whose components may lack individual distinction. <br /> Therefore, it is not eligible for the NRHP/CRHR under Criterion C/3. <br /> NRHP/CRHR Criterion D/4 <br /> The information potential for 2502 Huckleberry Road is expressed in its built form and in the historical record. It has <br /> not yielded, nor is it likely to yield, information important in history or prehistory.Therefore, it is not eligible for the <br /> NRHP/CRHR under Criterion D/4. <br /> Integrity <br /> The residence at 2502 Huckleberry Road possesses integrity of location because it has not been moved. The setting <br /> around the residence's 1950 housing tract has changed from being mostly citrus groves in the 1950s to being <br /> surrounded by single-family suburban tract homes. Therefore, the change in surroundings has resulted in a lack of <br /> integrity of setting, feeling, and association.A garage-to-room conversion on the primary fagade and the replacement <br /> windows on all elevations have resulted in a loss of integrity of design, materials, and workmanship. <br /> Regardless of integrity, due to lack of historical significance, 2502 Huckleberry Road does not meet NRHP or CRHR <br /> eligibility criteria as an individual resource or as part of any known or suspected historic district; the resource is not <br /> listed on any Certified Local Government historic property register. <br /> City of Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties <br /> (1) Buildings, structures or objects with distinguishing characteristics of an architectural style or period,that <br /> exemplify a particular architectural style or design features; <br /> As stated above in the NRHP/CRHR evaluation,the residence at 2502 Huckleberry Road represents a typical <br /> example of a Minimal Traditional-style house, which was a common housing type in California from 1935 to 1950. <br /> This Minimal Traditional-style dwelling is not a fully realized expression of the style,which may feature dormers, <br /> corner windows, a chimney, and a recessed main entrance.
