CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> SPECIFICATIONS <br /> PROJECT NO.: 25-6030 <br /> TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT SEGERSTROM AVENUE AND ROSEWOOD <br /> AVENUE <br /> FORWARD <br /> The Standard Specifications is the 2018 edition, including all supplements at time of bid, of the <br /> Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction,including supplements and accompanying <br /> Standard Plans, written and promulgated by Public Works Standards, Inc. These Standard <br /> Specifications shall control the general provisions, construction materials, and construction <br /> methods for this contract, except as amended by the Contract Documents. <br /> The following General Provisions are supplementary and in addition to the provisions of the <br /> Standard Specifications, unless otherwise noted. The section and subsection numbering system <br /> used in these General Provisions corresponds to that used in the Standard Specifications. <br /> The State of California Department of Transportation Standard Specifications,Standard Plans, and <br /> Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices,latest edition at time of bid of each, are incorporated <br /> herein by reference and are hereby accepted as Reference Specifications. These Reference <br /> Specifications are intended to govern certain construction materials, methods, and details except <br /> as modified herein or are inconsistent with the provisions herein. <br /> PART 1 - GENERAL PROVISIONS <br /> SECTION 1 - GENERAL <br /> 1-2 TERMS &DEFINITIONS <br /> Add the following to this subsection: <br /> Acceptance—The formal written acceptance by the Agency of the completed project. <br /> Agency—City of Santa Ana <br /> Approved Equal —material or product that has been reviewed and approved by the Engineer as <br /> similar and equal in all respects and acceptable for use in lieu of that specified. <br /> Approved, Required, Directed — or words of similar import, refer to and indicate that the work <br /> or materials shall be "approved," "required," or "directed" by the City of Santa Ana or its duly <br /> authorized representative. <br /> Board—City Council of the City of Santa Ma <br /> Bid Proposal—see Bid <br /> City—City of Santa Ma <br /> City Council—The body constituting the awarding authority of the City,namely the City Council <br /> of the City of Santa Ana. <br /> Contract Documents — In addition to items specified in the Standard Specifications, Contract <br /> Documents shall also include all Appendices as referenced and/or included. <br /> 1 <br />
