CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> SPECIFICATIONS <br /> PROJECT NO.: 25-6030 <br /> TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT SEGERSTROM AVENUE AND ROSEWOOD <br /> AVENUE <br /> AGENCY utility manhole frames and covers shall be adjusted to grade with PCC collar in <br /> accordance with the respective Standard Plans. <br /> The Contractor shall cooperate with the owners of any frames and covers and shall cover <br /> and completely protect said frames and covers with heavy plastic or other suitable material. <br /> 1.19 PULVERIZE & CEMENT-TREAT EXISTING ASPHALT CONCRETE, BASE, AND <br /> SUBGRADE NOT USED <br /> 1.20 REMOVE EXCESS PULVERIZED MATERIAL NOT USED <br /> 1.21 COLD IN-PLACE RECYCLING (CIR) / COLD CENTRAL PLANT RECYCLING <br /> (CCPR) NOT USED <br /> 1.22 COLD IN-PLACE RECYCLING EXPANDED ASPHALT MIX (CIREAM)NOT USED <br /> 1.23 ASPHALT-RUBBER CAPE SEAL <br /> This Section shall conform to Section 600(chiefly, 600-2.7)of the Standard Specifications <br /> and these Special Provisions. <br /> General <br /> The construction sequence of asphalt-rubber cape seal shall be as follows: <br /> a) 3/4" asphalt-concrete leveling course shall be constructed; <br /> b) Asphalt-rubber shall be applied; <br /> c) Cover aggregate shall be placed and rolled and loose material removed; and <br /> d) Emulsion-aggregate slurry Type II shall be applied no sooner than 48-hours and no <br /> later than 7 days after cover aggregate is applied. <br /> Certified volume or weight slips shall be delivered to the Engineer for all materials <br /> supplied. <br /> Pavement Preparation- The pavement shall be cleaned with a power broom. <br /> Asphalt-Rubber <br /> Asphalt-rubber shall be Type A or B per Section 600-2. The Contractor shall submit a <br /> manufacturer's Certificate of Compliance and test reports for the asphalt and rubber. <br /> 40 <br />
