Our 10-plus years of experience have proven that the additional programs we offer our students provide them with the opportunity to reach their greatest potential. Learn how you can support the following programs by donating your time, talents and/or treasure. 1. Work -Based Learning: The Work -Based Learning Program is a transformative 7-12 grade curriculum that equips students with the essential tools to excel in both the professional world and everyday life beyond campus. This innovative program goes beyond traditional classroom education, offering students a comprehensive array of resources, including career exploration, eye-opening company tours, hands-on career exposure with conferences hosting 100+ career profession- als, expert guidance in crafting impressive resumes and cover letters, realistic mock interviews, lessons in professional dress attire, financial literacy, social media etiquette, internship fulfillment, and much more. 2. Engineering and Design Pathways: Additionally, Samueli Academy boasts two, robust 4-year career pathways; Engineering and Design. These pathways are designed to expose and engage students in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math), and introduce them to these industries and a host of potential careers students more than likely had never considered. 3. Social -Emotional Support: Serving students means serving the whole student. Our Social -Emotional Support Psychologist helps students get the mental health support they deserve. The goal is to offer each and every student the opportunity to thrive, while showing resilience, self-awareness, self advocacy, and continue to demonstrate motivation. This fosters positive communication and gratitude. A. Foster Youth Support: One of our key missions is to focus on supporting youth in foster care. Our Student Success Coordinator provides physical and emotional support for our youth in foster care while providing an array of support services. 100% of foster youth who have been enrolled at Samueli Academy have graduated, compared to the state-wide 56% graduation rate of youth in foster care. Our goal is to provide youth in foster care who attend Samueli Academy a chance to find their voice to reach their full potential. 1. 5. Alumni Program: We support our graduates through the next four years of their lives. A majority of our graduates are first generation college students and our alumni program is a big reason why our college persistence rate is more than twice the national average for this demographic of students! Our commitment to every student is "wherever you go, the Firewolf pack will follow." Your Philanthropic Gifts Samueli Academy receives approximately $12,000 a year per student from the state, It costs about $13,500 to fully educate our students, leaving a "gap" of $1,500 per student, per year. Funding the "gap" each year means Samueli Academy can provide a multitude of much needed support services. That is the Firewolf Advantage. Support Our Students... 5.
