Kamps, et ux and Opal M. Mitlspaugh, <br />et ux to permit the use of property at 210 and 2la South Lyon Street <br />for a Social Welfare Boarding Home, and from the Department of Public <br />Works that construction of curb and sidewalk and paving out to existin~ <br />pavement Is needed. On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by <br />Larsen and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was <br />approved and variance granted subject to the conditions as imposed by <br />the Department of Public Works. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Lateen and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br />granted to W. T. and Mary McEwen to permit the construction of an <br />additional residence at rear of their property at 1620 South Birch <br />Street, consisting of three 2~' x 12~' lots, said residence to face on <br />Pomona Street. <br /> <br />Councilman Dahl arrived at 7:40 P.M. <br /> <br />Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending denial <br />of variance application of John L. Price for the use of garage on <br />property at 20<0 South Flower Street for the establishment and operation <br />of a business of watch repairing and sales of watches, ban~s, clocks <br />and some Jewelry. The Council having unanimously waived the reading <br />of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman Larsen, seconded by McBride <br />and carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 5~LlO granting variance on application <br /> of John L. Price where Planning Commission recommended <br /> denial" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen <br /> <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br /> William Jerome, J.L.MeBride, Thomas F.Larsen, <br /> Milford W. Dahl, Courtney R. Chandler <br />None <br />None <br /> <br /> Noes, <br />Not Voting, <br /> Absent, <br /> <br />Communications were read from the Planning Commission recommending <br />denial of variance application of George Moore for the establishment <br />and operation of a day nursery on property at 936 West Myrtle Street, <br />between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 11:30 A.M. Mondays through Fridays, <br />with an attendance of lC to 2g children, and from the Department of <br />Public Works that replacement of all broken sidewalks is needed.
