<br /> Municipal Code creating changes in district
<br /> ~boundaries and amending Sheet No. 50 of the
<br /> Districting Map to show the reclassification"

<br />M-2 District, in accordance vrith amendment application of Allison

<br />An Ordinanc~ was presented abolls~.~ng residence requirements for City
<br />employees. Carrel Chittock, representing members of the Fire Depart-
<br />ment approved of the Ordinance and read a telegram from the National
<br />Fire Underwriters in ans~er to a lettm~r refe2ence the fire rating for
<br />the City if Fire Department employees were permitted to live outside
<br />the City limits. The Manager read communication dated April ll, !95~,
<br />from the National Fire Undor:?~iters, addressed to Chief John Carthe,
<br />indicating that such a move might mean an additional 33 deficiency
<br />points on the City's fir-~ rating. On motion of Ccunci]man McDrid%
<br />seconded by Lateen and carried, the Attorney was instr~ct,d to prepm~e
<br />an Ordinance removing the residence reGuirsments for all employees
<br />except for memb?rs of the Fir~ Dep~rtment. On motion of Ccunci~msm
<br />Larsen, secorded by Jerome and cartload, the communication ond telegrs~n
<br />were roe:ired ~ filed.
