Co. <br /> <br />In Re ' ' <br />Proposed Ordinance <br />Library Board <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the fol- <br />lowing Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 55-183 declaring stop intersection" <br /> <br />at Fifteenth and Bush Streets, was considered and passed by the follow. <br /> <br />ing vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen <br /> <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br /> J. Ogden Markel, William Jerome, Milford W. Dahl, <br /> Courtney R. Chandler <br /> None <br /> Dale H. Heinly <br /> <br /> The Manager recommended that the 1955-1955 Budget be amended by trans- <br /> ferring from ll-000 .City Council-Contingency Reserve the sum of <br /> $28,160.00 to the following funds and activities: <br /> <br /> ll-ll2 City Council-Insurance Pr4miums $12,060.00 <br /> ll-151 Personnel Office - Administration 2,700.00 <br /> 11-565 Public Works Department - Traffic <br /> Painting and Signs 1,100.00 ' <br /> 51-552 Public Works Department - Secondary <br /> Streets 11,300.00 <br /> 37-176 City Treasurer -City Hall Bonds No. 3 Fund 1,000.00. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br /> transfer of funds Was approved. <br /> <br /> The Manager recommended that the 1954-1955 Budget be amended by trans- <br /> ferring from 55-551 Public Works Department - Major Streets to 55-552 <br /> Public Works D~partment - General Street Construction,the sum of <br /> $5,000.00. On motion of Cmmcilman Dahl, seconded by Jerom~ and car- <br /> ried, the transfer of funds was approved. <br /> <br /> The Manager recommended that the 1955-55 Budget be amended by consol- <br /> idating revenue items and expenditure allocations of 61-Library <br /> Acquisition and~Construction Fund and 62-City Hs,ll Acquislti,~n and <br /> Construction Fund into a newly designated Fund 61-Civic Center <br /> Acquisition and Construction Fund, On motion of Councilman Dahl, <br /> seconded by Jerome and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, that <br />in accordance with the original oral agreement of employment with and <br />as a part of the consideration for the services of Edward J. Allen, <br />Chief of Police, that the Director of Finance be authorized to d~aw a <br />warrant in payment of an invoice to be presented to him to cover the <br />cost of moving the household effects of Edward J. Allen from Ohio to <br />Santa Ana, California, and that said payment is hereby approved. <br /> <br />The Manager advised that the Pacific Electric Railway Company has sub- <br />mitted an agr,ement providing for the abandonment and removal of the <br />tracks between the westerly line of Artesia Street on the Santa Aha <br />Line and the southerly line of McFadden Street on the Greenville Line. <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the <br />matter was referred to the Manager for recommendation. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, that <br />the proposed Ordinance providing for the duties of the Library Board <br />be referred to the Attorney for preparation and presentation at the <br />next meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
