<br /> sion, effective July 18th,1955, wa? received, filed and the Clerk

<br /> lng of electrical cable for Fire Alarm System, in accordance with
<br /> Specification NQ. 63a-3; bi~?s to be opened Au~st 1st, 1955.

<br />On motion of Councilman Meinly, seconded by Markel an~ ca~ried, the
<br />communication from Eeith E. Hoffmaster refer.~nce rescript of the City~
<br />financial re~ort for 1954, ~as received, filed and refer~,=d to the
<br />Manager.

<br />On motion of Counci~man Jerome, seconded by Markel an~ carried, the
<br />claim of Helen Vail Moore, in the sum of ~150,0~0.00, for personal
<br />injuries sustained resulting from the dangerous con¢~itlon of Falrview
<br />Avenue an~ the lack of warning signals, was referre~ to the Insurance
<br />Carrier and the Attorney.
<br />
<br />On recommendation of the Business Men~s Assoclatien and on motion of
<br />Councilman Jerome, seconded by Helnly and ca~.ried, the application of
<br />Reverend Robert Lee Higgins, Pastor, Soul Gleaners Church of C~od in
<br />Christ Mission, to solicit funds July 21st, 1955, was denied.

<br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Heinly and carried, the
<br />notifications of the Department of Alcoholic ~everage Control of
<br />beverage applications of Ross E. and Veronica M. S~arengfn and Ernes~
<br />J. an~ Helen C. Jacobsen, were r~ceived and filed.

<br />applications of Robert Sewell, Ceor2e McCaffln, Wallace Balduin

<br />Harry Tomlin', to drive taxicabs, were received, filed and granted.
