Speck <br /> <br />Lyon Street and Chestnut Avenue, subject to conditions. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Dab1, seconded by Jerome and carried, the fecundation of <br />the Planning C~mmission was approved and the variance of George and Theresa G. Wild <br />granted to permit the use of the exist~n8 building at 50~ East St. Gertrude Place <br />for a Mission Sunday School, subject to conditions. <br /> <br />Co--cation was read from the .Planning ('~ssion ree~m~nd~g denial of variance <br />application of Darwin R. Speck for permission to use existing building at 826 East <br /> <br />17th Street, for a beauty shop, .for four operators, with m,,~ 1 neon sign 8" x ~0", <br /> <br />in windoW. The applicant appeared before the Council stating that arrangements <br /> <br />have been made for the parking of cars. On motion of ColAnc~!m~ Markel, seconded b <br />Jerome and carried, the variance application was ordered re-submitted to the Pl--nln <br /> <br />InBe <br />Variance <br />Audra U. and <br />Ona M. Friend <br /> <br />C~ ssion for re¢~ndation. <br /> <br />Ccemmnication was read f£~ the Planning C~mnission recommending denial of variance <br />application of Audra U. and Ona M. Friend to erect a duplex on property located on <br />the east side of Westwood Avenue beginning at a point approximately 150' north of <br />th~ northwest corner of WestwOOd Avenue mud Eighth Street. ~ications were rea <br /> <br />frc~ Otto A. Waldman, owner of two unimproved lots on Westwond Avenue, stating that <br /> <br />if and when they sell their property deed restrictions will be added requiring the <br /> <br />property to be used for single-family residence only; and from Audra U. an~ Ona M. <br /> <br />Friend Sul~nitting addition~ information to offset objections to the variance.
