On motion of CO%Ulcilma~ D~bl, seconded by Heinly and cerried~ the communication was received and filed. It was moved .by COll~cilman Dahl, seconded by Markel and carried, that the Attorney he instructed to prepar~ an Ordf~-nce providing for a charge of $50.00 per lot for subdivisions to cover capital outlay for Park and Fire protection. Com.,mication was read fr~n Henry A. Buys suggesting that the City purchase a s~trip of ground on the w~st side of Bristol Street between 21st Street and Santa Clara Avenue for the develo?~ut of a park, and on ~otion of Councilman D-h1, seconded by Heinly and carried, the c~ication was received and filed. On motion of Council. man Dahl, seconded by Markel and carried, the Clerk was instructed to advise Mt.Buys that the property lies directly across the street from the property where the City wished to establish a park but due to the protests of the neighbors, the City abandoned the plan and for that reason the Council is not interested. Cummunication was read from the Department of Public Works advising that improve- merits within Tract No. 2070 have been completed and on motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, bond filed by Orange County Develo?.-ut Company, in the stun of $38,000.00, was ordered released and improvements accepted as completed. On motion of Councilman D*~, seconded by Jerome and carried, Thnm,~ N. McMichsel was re-appointed as a member of the Planning Commission; term to expire July 1st, 1959. On motion of Cou~eflma- Dahl, seconded by Markel and carrie,d, the Revised ~ of Operating and Capital Outlay Budgets for 1955~-56, as submitted by the Manager, was approved. On motion of Coanctlman Jero~ secon(~d by D~bl and carried, the written recommend- ation of the Manager, dated November 21, 1955, setting forth salary step increases for seven employees, effective December l, 1955, was received, filed and approved.
