time frames, weekends, federal, state, County or City holidays shall be excluded. <br />21. CONDUCTOF OPERATIONS WHILE WORKING AT THE ZOO <br />a. Cooperation with Others - Contractor shall endeavor to maintain good public <br />relations at all times. The work shall be conducted in a manner that will cause the <br />least possible interference with or disturbance to Zoo patrons, animals, and <br />employees. The Department is cornmitted to protecting animal welfare and <br />enforcing the need for the Contractor to adhere to required accommodations for <br />preserving it. <br />b. Inclement Weather - Project work shall be suspended during periods of inclement <br />weather, including extreme heat, high winds, lightning and heavy rain. <br />C. Safety Orders - The Contractor will be responsible for all safety requirements and <br />certifications in accordance with the California - Division of Occupational Safety <br />and Health (CAL -OSHA) rules and regulations, Including the Heat Illness <br />Prevention regulation, California Code of Regulations. Title 8, § 3395, which <br />applies to all outdoor industries. It will be the Contractor's responsibility to assess <br />the work location and implement safety controls and procedures, as appropriate, <br />which are compliant with Title 8 of the California Code of regulations. <br />d. Preservation of Property - The Contractor shall be careful to protect from damage <br />all existing trees, shrubs, plants, fences, buildings, and other structures. The <br />Contractor shall be liable for any and all damages caused by Contractor's vehicles, <br />equipment, staff in their operations to such trees, shrubs, plants, other growth <br />features, and property, irrigation, concrete, hardscape, including Zoo or City of Los <br />Angeles owned buildings, vehicle and equipment. Any damage to Zoo or City - <br />owned vegetation and property shall be replaced or restored to their original <br />condition to the satisfaction of the Zoo, at the Contractor's. <br />If applicable, the CON'mACTOR shall adhere to the CITY'S Community Workforce <br />Agreement (CWA), a pre -hire collective bargaining agreement, which establishes the labor <br />relations policies and procedures for CONTRACTOR to follow in the crafts persons <br />employed to complete the WORK OF IMPROVEMENT as more fully described in the <br />CWA. CALIFORNIA AIR RESOURCES BOARD COMPLIANCE <br />Contractor shall comply, and shall ensure all subcontractors comply, with all applicable <br />requirements of the most Current version of the regulations imposed by California Air Resources Board <br />("CARB"') including, Without 1111litation, all applicable terms of Title 13, California Code of <br />Regulations Division 3, Chapter 9 and all pending amendments (Regrilation"). <br />Page 9 of 11 <br />
