233 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 98-(235 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AUTHORIZING TI~E C~-~EF OF POLICE TO SUBMIT A GRANT AW.~RD <br />AGREEMENT TO TBE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNINC. <br /> FOR THE STREET TERRORIST OFFENDER PROGRAM (STOP :I-~V) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of S2ntn Ann delire~ to continue a e~nin <br />project designated the Street Terrorist Offender Program ivfunded in part from funds made <br />available through the Gang Violence Suppression Program administered by the Office of <br />Criminal Justice Planning (hereinafter referred to as OCJP); <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA AIWA, that the Chief of Police of the City of Santa Ana, California is authorized on <br />its behalf to execute the attached Grant Award Agreement including any extensions or <br />amendments thereof. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds <br />required for said project (including any amendment therco0 under the Program and the <br />funding terms and conditions of OCIP and that the cash match will be appropriated as <br />required. <br /> <br />IT IS AGREED that any liability arising out of the performance of the Grant Award <br />Agreement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant <br />recipient and the authorizing agency. The State of California and OGIP disclaim responsibility <br />for any such liab'dity. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to <br />supplant expenditures controlled by this body. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this ~o~h day of July <br /> <br />,1998 <br /> <br />a/oel A.
