REI~E~RSEME~T <br />OF STREET COSTS <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded <br />by Councilman Schlueter and carried, <br />Council approved reimbursement of $1,630.42 <br />to Mr. U. L. Monroe for street improve- <br /> <br />ments constructed in excess of local street requirements on Euclid at the south- <br />east corner of Fifth Street. <br /> <br />ESCROW PAYMENT <br /> <br />side of Bush, south of Third Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded <br />by Councilman Schlueter and carried, <br />Council approved payment into escrow of <br />$52,800 for real property on the west <br /> <br />SURPLUS REAL On motion of Councilman Hubbard~ seconded <br />PROPERTY by Councilman Gilmore and carried, Council <br /> received and ordered filed the City Manager's <br /> report of surplus real property at lll4 <br />and lll8 East First Street, determined the property could have value only to <br />the adjacent property owners as its width precludes its use as a separate parcel <br />of land and it could have only nuisance value to others, and authorized the City <br />Manager to sell the property by direct negotiation. <br /> <br />SURPLUS P~80NAL On motion of C~uncilman Hubbard, seconded <br />PROPERTY by Councilman Gilmore and carried, <br /> Council received and ordered filed the <br /> Director of Public Works' report of <br />surplus personal property consisting of houses and apartment buildings acquired <br />for the widening of Edinger between B~istol and Maple, and in the Civic Center; <br />declared the property surplus; and authorized demolition of substandard structures <br />and sale by public auction on August 13, 1963, of structures that can be moved. <br /> <br />On motion of CounciLman Hubbard, seconded by Councilmau Schlueter and carried, <br />the Assistant Director of Public Works was appointed to act as Clerk for the <br />auction. <br /> <br />SIGN ENCROACH)~NT On motion of Councilmau Nubbard, seconded <br /> ~u,~ by Counci~a~ Schlueter and carried, <br /> Council authorized executiou of an <br /> agreement with Joseph J. 01iveri and <br />Conrad Io Stepner, dba Tower Associates, 1701 N. Flower Street, to remove <br />encroachment from setback area. <br /> <br />BID CALL On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded <br />~ by Councilman Schlueter and carried, <br /> Council approved the City Manager's request <br /> to advertise for bids on Project 134, Unit <br />construction of Fairview, 5th to Trask, and Project C-88, Fairview, 17th to Trask, <br />and approved plans and specifications. <br /> <br />PERMIT ACCEPTANCE On motion of CounciLman Hubbard, seconded <br /> ~,.~. by Councilman Schlueter and carried, <br /> Council authorized execution of a permit <br /> with the Flood Control District for <br />construction of service roads, etc., for Project 134, Fairview Street and River. <br /> <br />C~TY CO~C~L -159- <br /> <br />July 15, 1963 <br /> <br /> <br />
