221 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99- 036 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO SUBMIT A GRANT AWARD <br />AGREEMENT TO THE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING <br />FOR THE STREET TERRORIST OFFENDER PROGRAM (STOP IV) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana desires to-continue a certain <br />project designated the Street Terrorist Offender Program (STOP IV) funded in part from funds <br />made available through the Gang Violence Suppression Program administered by the Office of <br />Criminal Justice Planning (hereinafter referred to as OCIP); <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA, that the Chief of Police of the City of Santa Aha, California is authorized on its <br />behaif to execute the attached Grant Award Agreement including any extensions or amendments <br />thereof. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds <br />required for said project (including any amendment thereof) under the Program and the funding <br />terms and conditions of OCJP and that the cash match will be appropriated as required. <br /> <br />IT IS AGREED that any liability arising out of the performance of the Grant Award <br />Agreement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant <br />recipient and the authorizing agency. The State of California and OCJP disclaim responsibility <br />for any such liability. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to <br />supplant expenditures controlled by this body. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 6th day of <br /> <br />eec C.
