RESOLUTION NO. 2003-066 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA A NA ESTABLISHING A FEE F OR A N OUTDOOR <br />VENDING MACHINE LAND USE CERTIFICATE AND <br />ADDING THE FEE TO THE MISCELLANEOUS FEE <br />SCHEDULE <br /> <br />KO: 7/15/03 <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br /> <br />Ao <br /> <br />In recent years, the City of Santa Ana has experienced an increase in the <br />number of outdoor vending machines being located within the high <br />visibility commercial centers. The addition of these vending machines has <br />contributed to visible blight and impacted the pedestrian and vehicular <br />access areas within a number of shopping centers in the City of Santa <br />Ana. As such, the City of Santa Ana is adopting an ordinance to regulate <br />the outdoor vending machines. <br /> <br />Bo <br /> <br />In order to process the outdoor vending machine land use certificates, the <br />City of Santa Ana will incur expenses. The City has analyzed the cost to <br />administer this program in order to establish the fee. <br /> <br />Co <br /> <br />Based upon the testimony, reports and other evidence submitted on this <br />matter, this city council makes the above-specified findings. <br /> <br />D. The City Council incorporates herein, as though fully set forth, the <br /> Request For Council Action accompanying this resolution. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The City Council hereby establishes the following fee relating to <br />outdoor vending machine land use certificates. <br /> <br />A. Land Use Certificates for each Outdoor Vending Machine is $160.00. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That without further action of the City Council the fees listed in <br />Section 2 shall be incorporated into the City's Miscellaneous Fee Schedule. <br /> <br /> Section 4. The adoption of this fee is expressly conditioned upon adoption by the <br />City Council of a zoning ordinance amendment for regulation of outdoor vending <br />machines.
