This network includes seven large digital
telephone systems (PBX's) and 25 smaller analog (key) telephone systems and one Voicemail
system. NEC proposes to expand the current services provided to the City. The proposed
services shall include but not be limited to the following:

1. The installation of a Conference Call System in the Fire Administration Building
2. The installation of new telephone systems at:
. Fire Stations 1,2,3,5,6, 7, 8, 9, 10
. Corbin/Southwest Senior Center
. City Yard
. Santa Ana Senior Center
. Santa Anita Center
. Memorial Center
. Jerome Center
. El Salvador Center
. Eddy West Stadium

Installing a Conference Call System in the Fire Administration Building will greatly expand the
communications capability of the Fire Department.

Installing new telephone systems in the fire stations and recreation centers will replace
equipment which:

1. Has exceeded its useful life
2. Has failed or is failing
3. Is no longer manufactured
4. Is difficult to get refurbished replacement parts for
5. Is getting increasingly costly to maintain
6. Is not meeting the operational needs ofthe location at which it is installed
