SOLICITATION APPLICATIONS <br />approved: <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded <br />by Councilman Griset and carried, the <br />following solicitation applications were <br /> <br />Santa Aha Unit 131, American Legion Auxiliary, poppy sale, May 24 and 25; <br /> <br />VFW Hillview Post 9203, Tustin, poppy sale, May 24 and 25. <br /> <br />HIGHWAY 39 FRk~WAY The letter from Concerned Citizens <br /> Committee regarding Highway 39 Freeway <br /> and Santa Ana River Freeway was ordered <br />filed, on motion of CounciLman Griset, seconded by Councilman Herrin and <br />carried. <br /> <br />PUBLIC PROPERTY USE The Application for Special License <br /> to Use Public Property of E1 Salvador <br /> Pentecostal Church, Sunday afternoons <br />from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at 4th and French Streets, was approved on motion <br />of Councilma= Griset, seconded by CounciLman Herrin and carried. <br /> <br />WILD ANIMALS The letter from Mrs. G. F. Roth <br /> requesting re-evaluation of the <br /> "Wild Animal Ordinance" was presented. <br />Mrs. Roth was present and explained that she was not asking for repeal of <br />the ordinance, but that it be defined more clearly, that it be held to <br />dangerous animals, and that small wild animals that are tame and are pets <br />should be allowed. Mayor McMichael stated that several hardship cases <br />have been brought to his attention in the past month, and he thought that <br />a better definition should be determined. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman Herrin and carried, <br />the matter was referred to staff to report back at the June 3rd meeting with <br />a solution to the definition problem of the ordinance. <br /> <br />BOWERS ~GSEUM A letter from South Main Improvement <br /> Association urging Council to dontinue <br /> support of Bowers Museum was ordered <br />filed on motion of Councilman Thurman, seconded by Councilman Markel and <br />carried. <br /> <br />ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE LICENSE On motion of Councilman Herrin, <br />APPLICATION seconded by Councilman Carlson and <br /> carried, the following Alcoholic <br />Beverage License Application was ordered filed: <br /> <br />Joe and Lois's Market, 122 N.
