Number ofunduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served with grant funds during the 12- <br />month contract period = __6500 PERSONS <br /> <br />II. Description of Work - in space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12-month contract <br />period including, services to be provided, program goals, client characteristics, & how grant funds will be utilized. <br /> <br />Primary Goal <br />To teach public school students the rich history of Santa Aha through classroom living history <br />programs enhanced by the creation of videotapes and books focusing on local history subjects. <br />Obiective$ <br /> 1. Present living history program to 6,500 Santa Aha Unified School District students <br /> a. Make living history presentation to 6-8 Santa Ana schools <br /> b. Supply living history videos and books to 44 Santa Aha schools for <br /> presentation to multiple classrooms <br />2. Create video-themed living history module for schools and public libraries <br /> a. Establish theme for program <br /> b. Write scripts and produce video <br /> The introduction of living history videos and books for use within the school and public libraries <br /> has the potential to involve classroom as well as student/parent viewing and reading. The use <br /> of technology empowers the teacher and student to explore local heritage within a flexible time- <br /> frame and at their own pace.
