A new centxifugal speed governor that operates the car safety shall be installed at the top of <br />the hoistway in the machine roorm The governor shall actuate a switch when excessive <br />speeds occur, disconnecting power to the motor and applying thc brake before application of <br />the safety. <br /> <br />A cross head load weighing device set ~.o operate at a predetermined fixed percentage of the <br />car load shall be provided. <br /> <br />An Anti-nuisance feature shall be provided which will reset car buttons and require <br />registration if an excessive number of calls are registered for the measured load. <br /> <br />FLOORING (RETAINEDI <br /> <br />The present flooring will be rehahaed. <br /> <br />ROPES {RETAINED) <br /> <br />The existing hoist ropes shall be retained. <br /> <br />I~Q. An <br />electric car door contact shall prevent the elevator fi'om operating unless the cox door is in <br />the closed position. <br /> <br />Door OlXXafion (notification, open, close, hold-open time) shall be arranged to meet ANSI <br />code and American w/th Disabilities Act Guidelines.
