'4. <br /> <br />The TRAINING will be used by the DISTRIC'~d the Fire Department <br />of the CITY for student and personnel training to enable the CITY to provide a <br />continued high level of fire protection to the citizens of their service areas; and to <br />enable the DISTRICT to provide fire technology classes and training for students. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED BY AND BETWEEN THE PARTIES HERETO AB <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />(1) The Agreement shall apply to those facilities directly associated with the <br /> TRAINING CENTER. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />The Fire TRAINING CENTER will have an executive board consisting of the Dean <br />of Human Services/Technology and Director of Fire Technology Department of the <br />Rancho Santiago Community College District, the City of Santa Aha Fire Chief and <br />the Deputy Fire Chief/Support Services, and the Chair of the Fire Technology <br />Advisory Board. CITY and DISTRICT may each add one additional voting board <br />member, at their option. The functions of the executive board will be to: review <br />policies and procedures that manage and direct the functions and use of the Fire <br />TRAINING CENTER; review an annual operating and capital budget for the center; <br />decide on recommendations submitted by the TRAINING CENTER Coordinators. <br />Policies and the annual operating and capital budgets will be submitted to the <br />DISTRICT's Board of Trustees for approval. The executive board will meet at least <br />once annually. <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />The CITY and the DISTRICT will each assign a coordinator to co-manage the Fire <br />TRAINING CENTER. The duties and responsibilities of these coordinators shall <br />be: to manage and direct day-to-day activities of the center; develop and maintain <br />a schedule of activities and use of the facilities; insure that the center is used for <br />its intended purpose; submit recommendations to the Executive Board regarding <br />policies and procedures that manage and direct the functions and use of the Fire <br />TRAINING CENTER; submit for review and comment an annual operating and <br />capital budget to the Executive Board; and make recommendations to the <br />Executive Board on other related matters. <br /> <br /> <br />
