<br />10. Contractor will provide all tools, supplies and equipment to perform the litter
<br />maintenance service including, but not limited to, all disposable products such as trash
<br />bags, cleaning products, graffiti remover, gum remover, germicidal solution, rags, and so
<br />forth. Contractor's proposed cleaning products, graffiti remover, gum remover and
<br />germicidal solution shall be approved by City prior to their use for this Agreement.
<br />
<br />11. Contractor shall maintain a twenty-four (24)-hour, seven (7)- day-a week telephone and
<br />fax machine service and shall respond within four (4) hours to clean up any work left
<br />undone after the City notifies the Contractor of failure to perform. The City will notify
<br />the Contractor by fax machine transmission of any and all failures to comply with this
<br />Agreement.
<br />
<br />12. All work shall be performed at the convenience of City. Work which necessitates closing
<br />any portion of the Area shall be scheduled so as not to conflict with regular office hours
<br />or events.
<br />
<br />13. If an employee calls in sick, Contractor will provide a replacement person within two (2)
<br />hours of the daily start time.
<br />
<br />14. ROUTINE SERVICES PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
<br />
<br />The following routine services will be performed daily.
<br />
<br />a. PICK UP LITTER AND WASTE
<br />
<br />"Litter" is defined as, but is not limited to, boxes, cans, papers (such as flyers),
<br />trash, unwanted or useless materials, or rejected matter. "Waste" includes, but is
<br />not limited to, gum, food remains, sewage, excrement, grease, dust, dirt, decals,
<br />liquid or dried matter, oily or sticky substances, and graffiti, etc.
<br />
<br />Remove all litter and/or waste from all outside surfaces including, but not limited
<br />to, sidewalks, streets, curbs, gutters, ledges, window sills, outdoor counter tops,
<br />door frames, alleys, planters, tree grates, store entries, trash receptacles and
<br />dumpster surfaces. All litter and/or waste shall be removed from the Area and
<br />emptied into a designated trash dumpster or receptacle in such a manner as to
<br />prevent the adjacent area from becoming littered by such litter and/or waste.
<br />
<br />Litter and waste removal shall be accomplished by the complete and thorough
<br />removal of said substances from the area - not by moving it from one surface to
<br />another or covering said substances with sand or similar materials.
<br />
<br />Excrement shall be picked up and disposed of properly, and area washed down
<br />with proper germicidal solution.
<br />
<br />b. CLEAN AND EMPTY TRASH CANS
<br />
<br />All trash containers within the Area shall be emptied and returned to their initial
<br />location. Trash including, but not limited to, boxes, cans, papers (such as flyers),
<br />and the contents of all trash containers shall be removed, along with the liner. All
