Box 1988 <br />Santa Ana, California 92702 <br /> <br />CALIFORNIA COMMISSION ON <br />THE CALlFORNIAS <br /> <br />Re:One Broadwav Plaza Proposal <br /> <br />Dear Mayor Pulido, <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />After careful review of the One Broadway Plaza ("OBP") proposal, I have decided to lend my <br />support to the project. There are several reasons why I have come to that conclusion. <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />First, OBP will bring good paying jobs to Santa Ana. Construction of a 37-story building will <br />have a significant effect on our local economy. As you know, the construction industry has a <br />large multiplier effect on the economy, creating two additional jobs elsewhere in the construction <br />sector and in other parts of the economy. Not only construction jobs, but once built, the h1ilding <br />will provide jobs for Santa Ana residents as well. <br /> <br />Second, OBP has worked with its neighbors in addressing their concerns. Orange County High <br />School of the Arts as well as the El Sol Academy are in support ofOBP. Since these schools will <br />be immediately impacted, it is a testament to the cooperation and thought that has gone into this <br />project. Traffic is an issued that I trust you will continue to address, not only for the area around <br />OBP, but for the rest of City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />Finally, OBP will strengthen Santa Ana's its rightful place as the County seat. One example is <br />KOCE, the only TV station in Orange County.
