<br />c. <br /> <br />Be located on a site which is located on a list of <br />hazardous material sites compiles pursuant to Government <br />Code Section 659662.5 and, as a result, would it create a <br />significant hazard to the public or the environment? <br /> <br />No Impact <br /> <br />Approval of the proposed project would not directly result in <br />the creation of any significant hazards to the public, in that <br />the approval of the proposed project would not involve any <br />activities that would involve the handling, regulation, storage <br />or transportation of hazardous materials. Future neighborhood <br />traffic plans implemented under the revised procedures and <br />amended circulation element may involve the handling of <br />incidental amounts hazardous substances, such oils, solvents and <br />paints. However, such activities would be subject to local State <br />and Federal regulations regarding the handling of hazardous <br />materials. No adverse hazardous substance safety impacts would <br />be associated with approval and implementation of the proposed <br />project. <br /> <br />D. <br /> <br />For a project located within an airport land use plan or <br />where such a pIan has not been adopted, within two miles <br />where a public airport or public use airport, would the <br />project result in a safety hazard for people residing or <br />working in the project area? <br /> <br />Less Than Significant Impacts <br /> <br />The City of Santa Ana is located approximately one mile <br />northwest of John Wayne Airport and is included in the Planning <br />Area of the Orange County Airport Land Use Commission Airport <br />Environs Land Use Plan for John Wayne Airport. According to the <br />Environs Land Use Plan for John Wayne Airport, there are no <br />accident potential zones in Santa Ana. However, portions of the <br />City are in the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) Notification Area. <br />Development projects proposed in the FAA Notification Area are <br />required to coordinate with the Airport Land Use Commission. <br />Approval of the proposed proj ect would not have any impact on <br />any designated accident potential zones or FAA Notification <br />Areas and would not result in safety hazards to people residing <br />or working in the City. <br /> <br />Page 12 of37 <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />75F-28 <br />
