This motion was carried by a five to <br />two vote with Councilman Herrin and Councilman Markel <br />voting no. The consent on bondholders has been obtained <br />and is shown as an attachment beginning on page 46 and <br />continuing through page 65. Therefore, the City Council <br />has previously granted conditional approval to these <br />negotiations and the conditions have now been met; <br />therefore, the entire matter is now brought before the <br />City Council at this time for their final approval. <br /> <br />Councilman Ward's motion to instruct staff to continue the <br />spirit of cooperation with Garden Grove and all the projects <br />contained in the contract, excluding the deannexation, was <br />seconded by Councilman Garthe and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Woodrow Butterfield of Garden Grove pledged the <br />complete cooperation of the City of Garden Grove in all the <br />tasks that had been set out; and apologized to Mayor Patterson <br />for the appointment to the Willowick Board of Directors, <br />explaining that the intent had been to appoint the Mayor of <br />Santa Ana, whoever he might be.
