CITY OF SANA ANA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT Scope of Work Annual Accomplishment Goal I. Total number of unduplicated clients anticipated to be served in the Mariposa Family Program during the 12-month contract period= 530_PERSONS IL Total number of unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served with grant funds during the12-month contract period= 220 PERSONS 42% Santa Ana clients III. Description of Work - in space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12- month contract period including, services to be provided, program goals, client characteristics, & how grant funds will be utilized. The Mariposa Family Program is designed to meet the special needs of women who reside in Santa Ana, but also serve Santa Ana families in a variety of counseling and life skills education programs. These include: individual, couples, family, group, and crisis counseling, substance abuse education, parenting classes (including a new series in Spanish), bereavement groups, children and teens groups, occupational therapy groups, and support groups for incest, grief, relationship loss, substance abusers and family members of substance abusers, and overeaters. As the vast majority of the people served by Mariposa are low income, services are provided on a sliding scale to enable clients to receive services according to their ability to pay. Mariposa's goal is to help low-income women and their families resolve the problems they are experiencing, so that they can go on to lead happy, healthy, productive lives. With respect to Santa residents, our objective is to provide counseling, parenting classes, support groups, and education to at least 220 Santa Ana women and their families in the course of a year.
