CITY OF SANTA ANA
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
Scope of Work
Annual Accomplishment Goal
I. Total number of clients anticipated to be served during the 12-month contract period= 40
PERSONS
II. Total number of unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served with grant funds during the 12-month
contract period= 40 PERSONS 100% Santa Pna clients
III. Description of Work - in space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12-month contract
period including, services to be provided, program goals, client characteristics, & how grant funds will be
utilized.
The program to be funded is Children's Ballet Folklorico. MAOF offers this to children, ages 3
to 10, residing in Santa Ana. Children will be divided in to two groups: one group 3 to 6 and
another group ages 7 to 10. Classes will be offered twice a week, three hours each day for each
group. These dance classes are open enrollment and are culturally based. During the 12-month
period approximately 40 children are expected to be served. Our program's goals are to
continue teaching children culture and appreciation, and offer them another means of self-
expression, through the art of dance. The program promotes cultural pride and communication,
and provides a way to solidify family relationship at an early age. It is our agency's belief that
a child who has a strong sense of positive self-identity, a good family relationship and strong
character is less likely to become addicted to drugs or alcohol, be affiliated with gangs or get
involved in anti -social behavior. The great majority, if not all, of these children are low-
income. Grants will be utilized to support program costs, including instruction, facility, and
materials (i.e. costumes and music).
Schedule ofPerformance
Estimate the number of unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served during the 12-month contract period per
quarter:
Quarter 1: July 1— September 30 20 Persons
Quarter 2: October 1 — December 31 5 Persons
Quarter 3: January 1 — March 31 10 Persons
Quarter 4: April 1 — June 30 5 Persons
Total 40 Persons
Invoicing Schedule
Estimate the amount of grant funds to be requested during the 12-month contract period on a quarterly basis:
Quarter 1:
July 1 — September 30
$
2,250.00
Quarter 2:
October 1 — December 31
$
2 250.00
Quarter 3:
January 1 — March 31
$
2,250 00
Quarter 4:
April 1 — June 30
$
2.250.00
Total $ 9.000.00
EXHIBIT A
