PUBLIC HEARING <br />DRAINAGE ASSESSMENT <br />FEES REVISION <br /> <br />by Vice Mayor Evans. <br /> <br />The Public Hearing to <br />consider proposed revi- <br />sion of Drainage Assess- <br />ment Fees was opened <br /> <br />Staff reported orally to identify the issues, and to recommend <br />approval of the matter. Council received Planning Commission <br />Resolution No. 6053, recommending the revision. The Clerk <br />reported there were no communications. There were no opponents <br />or proponents, and the Vice Mayor closed the Public Hearing. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. NS~1220 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION <br />34-193 RELATING TO LOCAL DRAINAGE AREA FEE SCHEDULE w~s placed <br />on first reading, on the unanimously carried ~,0] motion of <br />Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman Garthe. CCA 85.1d) <br /> <br />TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION <br />WARNER & HALLADAY STREETS <br /> <br />Tke proposed installation <br />of a traffic signal at <br />Warner and Haliada~ was <br />considered byl Council. <br /> <br />Staff reviewed its written report dated June 12, 1974 and <br />stated that the cost for the proposed signal would be approxir. <br />mately $35,000. <br /> <br />Mr. John Saavedra, 2022 South Cedar, spoke in favor of tke <br />installation. Proponent, Father John Coffield, asked Council <br />if data referring to people who fear crossing tke stYeet would <br />be helpful. He stated there were several in tkat category. <br /> <br />Councilman Yamamoto stated that a similar request approximately <br />two years ago, by residents of the First and ~ackson Street <br />area, had been denied by Council. <br /> <br />Councilman Griset's motion, seconded by Councilman Gartke~ to <br />advance the priority of the installation of tke traffic signal <br />at Warner and Halladay to number 5 from number 12 ms lost <br />to a substitute motion by Vice Mayor Evans~ seconded by, CoUncilr <br />man Ward, to include installation of the traffic signal at <br />Warner and Halladay in the proposed 1974~75 budget.
