<br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />Consultant shall prepare and present a two and one-half hour workshop, "Exceptional Leadership <br />in Rapidly Changing Times", for members of the City management team. The workshop will be <br />presented on Tuesday November 9, 2004 at the City's New You Can Use. <br />The focus of the workshop is the critical attitudes, qualities, characteristics and behaviors of <br />exceptional leaders in exceptional organizations and how to develop them in yourself and your <br />people. The workshop will also focus on I) methods for increasing innovation, creativity and <br />reasonable risk-taking throughout the organization and 2) the process of obtaining real <br />commitment to significant changes in quality and process improvement, increased customer <br />service and cost reduction efforts. <br />Participants will assess the degree to which they and their direct reports have these critical <br />qualities and engage in the behaviors and what can be done to encourage the development and <br />utilization of those behaviors. <br /> <br />Consultant's fee for the preparation and presentation of the workshop, including expenses, shall <br />be $2,000.00. <br /> <br />6 <br />
