<br />major building identification signs will be calculated at 4 inches <br />per floor over 18 floors plus a base allowance of 12 inches. Thus, <br />for the planned 32 story office structure, the height of the letter <br />permitted will be approximately 140 inches. Signs shall not <br />exceed 10% of the width of the signable area. Major building <br />identification signs shall not be permitted on residential buildings. <br />There shall be a maximum of one sign per ele','ation and four signs <br />per building maximum. <br /> <br />6.+: Temporary Identification Signs. <br /> <br />a. Per Santa Ana Municipal Code Sale or Lease Sign: One <br />sign per street not to exceed eighty (80) square feet in area <br />advertising the sale, lease, or hire of the site will be <br />allowed. The sign may be illuminated. The sign may not <br />exceed 16 feet in height. <br /> <br />b. Per Santa Ana Municipal Code Construction Sign: One <br />sign not to exceed eighty (80) square feet in area denoting <br />the architects, engineers, contractor, brokers, designers and <br />other related subjects will be allowed at commencement of <br />construction. Said sign will be removed within thirty (30) <br />days after issuance of an occupancy permit for the building. <br />The sign may be illuminated. The sign shall not exceed 20 <br />feet in height. <br /> <br />c. Per Santa Ana Municipal Code Temporary Future Tenant <br />Sign: One sign allowing the identification of future tenants <br />will be allo',ved. Such signs shall not exceed twenty (20) <br />square feet in area. <br /> <br />7.& Submission Of Main Street Concourse City Place Plan Signing <br />Design Program. <br /> <br />Project applicant shall submit a planned project sign program for <br />review by the Planning Department Division in accordance with <br />the standard ~.r.1anning department Division procedures and this <br />Plan. The following Code provisions have been identified as being <br />incompatible ','/ith the overall goals and objectives of the Main <br />Street Concourse Plan and therefore these Code sections shall not <br />be applicable to the sign program for the Main Street Concourse. <br />The relevant Code sections are: <br /> <br />*Section 41 860(a) (3) (prohibits moving signs); <br />11 861(2) (prohibits flags and banners); <br />41 862( a)(1) (limits size of freestanding signs); <br /> <br />48 <br />75A-209 <br />
