<br />AGREEMENT 1-2354 <br />Exhibit A <br /> <br />Within 120 days before the end of Preliminary Engineering, the design will undergo a value <br />engineering review before being, finalized, The CONSULTANT will initiate the value <br />engineering process by providing the independent consultant with a complete set of documents <br />and also recommending any areas where it believes costs might be reduced. The <br />CONSULTANT will assist the review effort by providing explanations, background material, <br />etc, The CONSULTANT may be requested to explain why they disagree with a value <br />engineering proposa1. Value engineering recommendations will be incorporated at the beginning <br />of the Final Engineering phase, <br /> <br />Deliverables: CONSULTANT to provide complete set of PE documents for the value <br />engineering work. <br /> <br />, , <br /> <br />PE 18. <br /> <br />Engineering Support for FEIS/FEIR <br /> <br />Although the Final Environmental Impact Study and Final Environmental Impact Report <br />(FEIS/FEIR) will be prepared by a separate consultant, the Preliminary Engineering <br />CONSULTANT will need to support this work effort with technical input. <br /> <br />The FEIS/FEIR consultant will incorporate the aligrunent derived from the Preliminary <br />Engineering work-in particular the station site plans, in-street trackwork designs and traffic <br />impact studies, and the design of civil structures-into presentation materials for public review <br />and then into the FEIS and FEIR documents themselves. The CONSULTANT will assist the <br />FEIS/FEIR consultant in assembling this material and other material within its area of <br />responsibility wd explaining it to the FEIS/FEIR staff. The CONSULTANT will also coordinate <br />with the FEIS/FEIR consultant during the designs, evaluate design guidance received from the <br />public through the FEIS/FEIR consultant and the Public Involvement Program, and then <br />incorporate this guidance when appropriate. There may be times when members of the <br />CONSULTANT's technical staff, especially those working on the stationplans, will be asked to <br />meet with the public, and the CONSULTANT will provide such help. ' <br /> <br />PE 18.1 Graphics and Renderings <br /> <br />The purpose of this work task is to provide display graphics and renderings suitable for public <br />presentations, including capability to provide three dimensional graphics and video presentations, <br /> <br />The CONSULTANT shall have the capability of preparing graphical representations, <br />architectural renderings, and photo images of The CenterLine Project for site-specific locations, <br />The CONSULTANT will prepare plans, sketches, diagrams, tables, etc" appropriately rendered, <br />enlarged and mounted for easel presentations or reproduced as slide transparencies. <br /> <br />Deliverables: There is no specific list of deliver ables, As a guideline, the CONSULTANT shall <br />expect to develop plan and elevation presentation material for all stations, the CMF, and all <br />typical line configurations throughout the project length, <br /> <br />58 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br /> <br />ð" <br />
