<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Ward, Yamamoto, Brandt, Ortiz, Garthe <br />Evans <br />Bricken <br /> <br />FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS COMPLEX <br /> <br />Mr. John Dykstra of Economics Research Associates reported to the <br />Agency on the progress made to date on the technical feasibility <br />study underway on the Performing Arts Complex. Based on the market <br />analysis, Economics Research Associates have recommended a facilities <br />program consisting of a 3,000 seat concert hall, multi purpose center, <br />a 500 seat theatre and performing complex, to be located in the Civic <br />Center area, adjacent to the stadium. Also being considered is a <br />swimming complex offering olympic sports facilities to Orange County <br />residents. The next phase of the study will analyze the cost of the <br />physical improvements, a proforma of the center comparing projected <br />revenue to operation expenses and the source of the revenue needed <br />both for physical improvements and long term operation and mainte- <br />nance. The study is expected to be completed by July, 1977. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Mr. Brandt and seconded by Mr. Ortiz to approve <br />the selected site, the facilities program and the preliminary <br />schematics for the site plan.
