Flores, Dora
From:Tapferx4 <tapferx4@aol.com>
Sent:Tuesday,
To:eComment
Subject:Item #16-Vote No on Increasing Parking Rates
Attention: This email originated from outside of City of Santa Ana. Use caution when opening attachments or links.
March 18, 2025
Re: Item #16--Don’t Raise Parking Rates
Dear Council Members,
As you all are very aware the downtown community was extremely hard hit by the COVID 19
pandemic and the closing of many of the streets in the downtown for the OC Streetcar
construction. Downtown is still not even close to recovered. Many small businesses are still shutting
th
and many of the store fronts on 4 St. are vacant along with vacancies throughout the
downtown. The last thing the downtown businesses and customers need is a price increase on
parking. Please don’t raise prices at this time but wait until the downtown is better recovered.
Thank you for your service and your consideration,
Kim Tapfer
th
Business and Property Owner, 106 -102 W. 4 St., Santa Ana, CA 92701

4
