ORAL COMMUNICATION Shirley Gilbuena, 2833 N. <br />SHIRLEY GILBUENA Bristol, presented Council with <br />ADMIN. REFERRAL a petition expressing opposition <br /> to the construction of a solid <br />wood fence between the vacant lot and parking lot adjacent to the Pantry <br />Market located at Bristol and Memory Lane, and expressed concern relative <br />to a definite lack of lighting in that area. By unanimous informal <br />consent, the matter was referred to staff for administrative action. <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Daniel Gutierrez, 702 N. Euclid, <br />DANIEL GUTIERREZ stated that he received letters <br />ADMIN. REFERRAL from the City containing estimates <br /> for the acquisition of property <br />owned by his mother, Cecilia Gutierrez. He stated that his mother did not <br />speak English, and therefore needed to hear from staff in the evening <br />when he could be present. By unanimous informal consent, the matter was <br />referred to staff for administrative action. <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS Councilmember Griset commented <br />COUNCILMEMBERS that he would like staff to <br /> review and consider a City pin, <br /> which would incorporate the new <br />sunrise logo. Mayor Bricken commented that perhaps this could be done <br />in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce. CA 80.11 <br /> <br />Councilmember Acosta reported that he had been contacted with regard to <br />cars parked on lawns, and people working on cars parked on the street. <br />He inquired about Code Enforcement efforts in these areas. Councilmember <br />Luxembourger requested that he receive a report on citations issued in <br />the last 60 days pertaining to this matter. <br /> <br />Mayor Bricken expressed concern relative to the grass in the Stadium <br />being ready for the football season, and was assured that it would be <br />in prime condition. He also inquired as to when the new City logo would <br />be painted on the water tank. The Assistant City Manager replied that <br />the City was currently soliciting bids. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Serrato reported that he received complaints regarding the <br />"No Stopping Anytime" signs posted on Greenville, and requested a report <br />with regard to what was occurring in that area. CA 18 <br /> <br />Councilmember Luxembourger inquired about tumbleweeds on City property <br />at West First Street near the self-service g~s stations, and expressed <br />concern that this area should be cleaned up. CA 11 <br /> <br />Also, he reported that on the City's entryway sign on Fairview Street, <br />letters were disappearing from the sign, and suggested that perhaps the <br />sign should be taken down. <br /> <br />S2172 Councilmember McGuigan reported <br />CABLE COMM.
