<br />Attachment B <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />situation. The potential terrorist targets in the City of Costa Mesa include several <br />large metropolitan shopping centers and cultural centers. South Coast Plaza is <br />one of the shopping centers. It receives 26 million visitors per year from around <br />the world and is included on the State's list of potential terrorist targets. HaYing <br />the SWAT officers equipped with the proper communications tools adds to the <br />City's ability to protect the citizens in our local community, including the various <br />large metropolitan shopping centers. Refer to the attached quotation for more <br />specific information. <br /> <br />I appreciate your assistance in obtaining funding from the UASI grant for these <br />two important needs.
