Mitigation Measures <br /> <br />5.1 EXISTING REGULATIONS AND MITIGATION MEASURES FOR SHORT TERM <br />CONSTRUCTION NOISE <br /> <br />Project construction would not result in significant adverse noise impacts. As such, no mitigation <br />measures are required due to compliance City municipal code Section 18-314. <br /> <br />5.1.1 Existing Regulations <br /> <br />The contractor shall ensure that all site construction activities occurring in the City of Santa Ana comply <br />with the municipal code 18-314 which states: <br /> <br />Noise sources associated with construction, repair, remodeling, or grading of any real property, <br />provided said activities do not take place between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. on weekdays, <br />including Saturday, or any time on Sunday or a federal holiday. <br /> <br />5.2 MITIGATION MEASURES FOR OPERATIONS NOISE <br /> <br />The following mitigation measures are necessary to achieve compliance with Section 18-312 of the <br />municipal code. <br /> <br />1. A sound wall will be constructed with a minimum height of 12 feet and a density of at least 4 Ibs. per <br />square feet. The extent of the wall is shown in Figure 5-1. <br /> <br />2. Mitigation monitoring will be conducted after construction of the project to ensure that noise <br />generated by the automated car wash will not exceed the City's exterior and interior noise standards. <br />If the operation of the automated car wash exceeds the City's standards, additional noise mitigation <br />will be required to achieve compliance with the City's exterior noise standard.
