3. Alarm Management: The software shall be able to cause PTZ cameras to move <br />and zoom to designated views upon alarm, capture snapshots or video segments, <br />issue audible and visual alarms and record the alarm events into an alarm log. <br />The SMS View Station Software shall be installed on the SMS Server Computer. The <br />software shall be the Sixteen Camera View Station Software by IV&C No. VSS-4016 <br />or approved equal. <br />D. Alarm Notification Software: A software based alarm dialer capable of notification <br />locally and over voice grade telephone lines shall be furnished and installed. The <br />software shall support notification by email and to numeric and alphanumeric pagers <br />as well. The software shall be able to run on the latest Microsoft Windows Server as <br />supported by this software. <br />Selected alarms detected by the system shall activate the dialer. Each alarm shall be <br />individually configured and shall require acknowledgement either locally or remotely <br />(via phone connections). Notifications shall indicate the location and alarm <br />description. The Contractor shall make provisions to configure a minimum of 10 <br />points for notification. The Contractor shall provide a list of alarm conditions to the <br />Engineer for approval. <br />The Alarm Notification software shall support Active X objects. The software shall <br />also provide the capability to connect to OPC clients and servers. <br />The Dialer shall be provided for the SMS Server Computer. A modem shall be <br />supplied and installed and shall be external to the computer. The Alarm Notification <br />System shall be the latest version of National Instruments Lookout <br />Development/Runtime with 200 tags minimum capability. <br />PART 3 — EXECUTION <br />3.1 GENERAL <br />A. Installation of the SMS shall be in strict compliance with manufacturer's <br />recommendations. The system shall be installed in dedicated conduit, and wired per <br />the manufacturer's recommendation and wiring diagrams provided by the SMS <br />CONTRACTOR. <br />B. The CONTRACTOR shall furnish all conduits, mounting brackets, free standing <br />poles, wiring, outlet boxes, junction boxes, equipment panels and similar devices <br />necessary for the complete installation. Conduit sizes for security system signal wire <br />shall be sized for 40% fill. <br />C. The CONTRACTOR shall employ installers who are skilled and experienced in the <br />installation and connection of all elements, instruments, accessories and assemblies. <br />Electrical work shall be performed as specified in the applicable section of Division <br />16. <br />City of Santa Ana Security Management System Specific Requirements <br />Security Management System Project Page 17100-12 <br />SantaAna_SMS_17100 <br />
