<br />Effective July 1,2002, employees covered by this Agreement shall begin contributing one- <br />half percent (.5%) of their base salary plus pay additives through payroll deduction to the <br />above-specified fund currently maintained by the City. This payroll deduction for retiree <br />health insurance premium reduction assistance will continue until such time as the parties <br />may mutually agree to end said deduction. <br /> <br />Effective October 1, 2006, and October 1, 2007, respectively, the City shall contribute an <br />additional one-half of one percent (.5%) of the bargaining unit's salary base for the purpose <br />specified herein. This one-half of one percent (.5%) may be applied, instead, to the <br />Retirement Health Savings Program as defined in Article IV, Section 14.9 herein. <br /> <br />12.8 Vision Insurance. Effective as soon as practicable, the City agrees to implement, through <br />payroll deduction, a non-participatory vision care plan through Eye Med. This plan is <br />voluntary on behalf ofthe employee and shall be fully funded by the participating employee. <br /> <br />33 <br />
