COI~qENTS <br /> <br />90.A. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Rodolfo Montejano, representing C. Robert Ferguson, addressed Council <br />requesting reconsideration of the termination of the Swap Meet at Santa <br />Aha Stadium (see Minutes pages 192-194), alleging lack of notification and <br />inadequate opportunity for the proponents of the Swap Meet to be heard. <br /> <br />The City Attorney indicated public notice was not required for the <br />termination of a City contract. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Vice Mayor McGuigan requested staff research the possibility of imposition <br />of an ordinance with respect to scavenging in trash cans. The City <br />Manager indicated staff would survey surrounding jurisdictions with <br />respect to the subject. <br /> <br />Councilme~er Acosta requested the Council consider appointment of a <br />committee composed of two Councilmembers, two staff members, and two <br />representatives of Norton Western Enterprises, to investigate an <br />alternative site for location of the Swap Meet. <br /> <br />The Mayor requested that the Chamber of Commerce's proposal with respect <br />to its leadership program and contract with the City be placed on the <br />August 3 agenda. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />221 JULY 20, 1987 <br /> <br /> <br />
