PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Iris Davis, 3625 W. MacArthur #307, addressed the Council requesting <br />Community Development Block Grant funding for the MDG Performing Arts <br />School. <br /> <br />The Mayor referred her application to staff. <br /> <br />Anca Caban, 2308 N. Olive Lane, owner of the Cafe Express at the Regional <br />Transportation Center expressed her concerns about having to share the <br />limited number of food-purchasing customers with a hot dog vendor and a <br />neighboring gift shop. She asked Council not to renew the vendor's <br />month-to-month lease and to restrict the sale of food by the gift shop. <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Hoffman, Real Estate Manager, informed Council that he had <br />issued a 30-day notice to vacate to the hot dog vendor, and was working to <br />curtail the fresh food and vending machine sales at the gift shop in <br />question. <br /> <br />Carl Wood, 14431 Vera Street, Tustin, addressed the Council requesting <br />relief from operating restrictions on his restaurant (The California Wave) <br />located at 323 N. Sycamore, Suite A. <br /> <br />The Mayor referred the matter to staff for investigation and requested a <br />report on the next Council meeting agenda. <br /> <br />RECESSED TO CLOSED SESSION - 9:20 P.M. <br /> <br />The Clerk of the Council announced the Council was recessing to Closed <br />Session pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(b){1) to confer with <br />the City Attorney regarding pending litigation of significant exposure; <br />and pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6 to meet with its <br />designated representatives regarding labor relations matters. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 53 FEBRUARY 21, 1989 <br /> <br /> <br />
