<br />" '.hi() P \.(" : '~ <br />Sv""" I, <br />" t:P " r\ OF LUUN~: <br />H\ 5~IB-Olf <br />",', <br /> <br />R ''''''' .'i\;'", <br /> <br />6 : CllA <br />(t:.lrinA) <br /> <br />rH(: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />A-2004-058 <br /> <br />FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE SANTA ANA EMPOWERMENT CORPORATION <br />AND THE SANTA ANA W/O/R/K CENTER <br />FOR USE OF EMPOWERMENT ZONE FUNDS <br /> <br />THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is entered into this 5th day of <br />April, 2004, by and between the Santa Ana Empowerment Corporation, a California non- <br />profit public benefit corporation ("SAEC") and the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and <br />municipal corporation of the State of California, on behalf of the Santa Ana W IO/R/K <br />Center ("Subrecipient"). <br /> <br />Recitals: <br /> <br />A. The parties entered into an Agreement dated July 1,2003, (hereinafter "said <br />Agreement") by which SAEC granted to Subrecipient, Empowerment Zone ("FEZ") <br />funds granted to SAEC from the United States Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development. <br /> <br />B. In accordance with the terms and conditions of said Agreement, the parties wish to <br />increase the grant amount to compensate Subrecipient for additional marketing and <br />outreach efforts provided by Subrecipient. <br /> <br />Wherefore, in consideration of the covenants contained in said Agreement, and subject <br />to all the terms and conditions of said Agreement, except those amended in this First <br />Amendment to Agreement, the parties agree as follows: <br /> <br />I. Section II, SAEC'S OBLIGA nONS, shall be amended to increase the funds <br />available to Subrecipient for carrying out the program by Twelve Thousand Dollars <br />($12,000.00) for a maximum aggregate payment of Nine Hundred Forty-Two <br />Thousand Dollars ($942,000.00) during fiscal year 2003-04. <br /> <br />2.
