The results of the surveys showed three of the ten properties were <br />severely impacted by hydrocarbon and halogenated volatile organic compounds (VOCs), <br /> <br />Confidential Law Firm - Two SlIes Southern CalifornIa <br /> <br />Conducted a secorid level review of previously completed Pha5e I ESAs for two shopping <br />centers that had dry cleaner establishments as long-term tenants, and prescribed a course of <br />action to evaluate potential environmental concerns at these sites. The law firm was <br />representing a national bank that was considering foreclosure on these properties. Assisted in <br />the efficient management of the schedules of personnel and subcontractors to compete the <br />project. The assessment and characterization of both sites included geophysical surveys to <br />locate subsurface structureSj logging and sampling of near-surface and subsurface soil using <br />hydrauli~ push technology; review of analytical data; and completion of fina1 report. The result <br />of the assessment activities was that one site had trace concentrations of HYOCs beneath the <br />foundation slab, arid the other site had highly elevated HVOC concentrations in the soil <br />beneath a floor drain beneath the dry oleaners. The bank foreclosed on the site with trace <br />HVOC concentrations and re-negotiated the loan for the contaminated site. <br /> <br />Confidential Banking Client - Four Sites Denver - Arvada, CO <br /> <br />Conducted Phase n ESAs for four shopping centers in the Denver - AIvada area that had dry <br />cleaner tstablishmcnts as tenants, and prescribed a course of action to evaluate potential <br />environmental con~ems at these sites. The national bank wa.~ considering a second mortgage <br />for the ciwners of these properties. Assisted in the efficient management of the schedules of <br />personn~l and subContractors to complete the project. The assessment and characterization of <br />both siteS included geophysical surveys to locate subsurface structures; logging and sampling <br />of near-Surface and subsurface soil using hydraulic push technology; review of analytical data; <br />and comPletion of a f1na1 report. The result of the assessment activities was that each site had <br />trace concentrations of HVOCs beneath the foundation slab. Assisted in the efficient management of the schedules of personnel and <br />subcontrilctors to i;omplete the project.
