FIRST AMENDMENT TO CONSULTANT AGREEMENT N-2002-110 03 c.', SAIL F"IWo THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO CONSULTANT AGREEMENT, is entered into on July I, 2002, by and between Luz Elba Navejas (hereinafter "Consultant") and the City of Santa Ana (hereinafter "City"). Recitals: A. The parties entered into an Agreement dated August 21, 200 I, (hereinafter "said Agreement") by which Consultant has provided translation and clerical assistance for the S.O.S. program. B. In accordance with the terms and conditions of said Agreement, the parties wish to renew said Agreement for an additional one year period and to increase the hourly rate of compensation for services provided. Wherefore, in consideration of the covenants contained in said Agreement, and subject to all the terms and conditions of said Agreement, except those amended in this First Amendment to Consultant Agreement, the parties agree as follows: / I. Paragraph 2.a. COMPENSATION, shall be amended to read as follows: "City agrees to pay, and Consultant agrees to accept as total payment for its services, an hourly rate of thirteen dollars ($13.00). The total sum to be expended under this Agreement, shaJl not exceed $6,500.00 during the term of this Agreement." 2. Paragraph 3, TERM, shall be amended to read as follows: "This Agreement shaJl commence on August 21, 2001 and terminate on June 30, 2003, unless terminated earlier in accordance with Section 12, below. The term of this Agreement may be extended upon a writing executed by the Chief of Police and the City Attorney." 3. Except as hereinabove amended, all terms and conditions of said Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this First Amendment to Consultant Agreement on the date and year first written above.
